About KnowingU

KnowingU is a virtual friends club. At KnowingU you can socialise and network with like minded people, it isn't another dating site!

KnowingU is specifically aimed at people who want to expand their social life.

The site idea came from Glynis Morgan when she found herself alone after a long term relationship was terminated causing the loss of most social contact. As she had worked for her partner she also had no work contacts and by nature of being in a relationship for so long friends were also in couples, working and only available for outings irregularly. Just shopping in Canterbury was a lonely experience. Glynis scoured the net but could only find dating agencies and that was definitely not a consideration at that time. Thus the seed of the idea was planted and now it’s ready to germinate and grow.

This site is for you if you have found yourself in a similar situation for whatever reason – you may have a broken relationship, a bereavement or even have just moved into the area. Through KnowingU you can build up a rapport with kindred spirits and should you wish, make your own arrangements to meet.
